Great job from Rob. Had him instal a new old style retro radio in my HT Kingswood. Fitted the job perfectly and it looks a treat. There was a few tricky bits with the installation but he had no problem overcoming them. Definitely recommended.

Rob gave me an awesome quote and professional service when I wanted to upgrade the audio in my Hilux. He went above and beyond to help with little things and the quality of the workmanship is second to none.

Rob is amazing. We called him very last minute to ask if he could install/upgrade an audio unit in our car. He did it right then and there and went above and beyond to make our experience even better than what we asked for. Will be recommending him to everyone :)

One Saturday in November 2015 I went down to my local car audio store Volatile Car Audio seeking a new retro radio for my vintage Holden.Spoke to the owner Rob Aqualina who showed me some pictures of a retro unit he said he could import from the USA for $500. Went back a week later and paid a $300 deposit and was written on the receipt it would take approx 2 - 3 weeks for delivery ex USA. Thought it unusual that he did not get a more accurate price at that time seeing it was coming from the USA and postage costs are normally an issue.Received a call from Rob on a Wednesday 2.5 weeks later saying he had now sourced a supplier in Australia and the unit would be delivered the following Monday or Tuesday being 14 or 15 December. Asked if this would change the cost and was told no which I found interesting.Did not hear anything after this so went to the store on Saturday 19 December to be told should be delivered next Tuesday or Wednesday being 22 or 23 December.I got annoyed and asked why does the delivery date keep changing, changing supplier ect? Robs reply was that he was sick of customers busting his balls" and he was thinking of closing up. I thought this was a very unprofessional thing to tell a client with no apology offered! He then offered to refund me my money but I said as long as it was definitely ordered and in next week I would still go ahead as I wanted it before Christmas. I then asked to see proof of his order and he said he had none as it was done over the phone with his credit card. (There would still be a record of this but I didn't push it)On 22 December had a call from Rob saying he had been notified by Australia Post that the unit was in transit and should be arriving before Christmas.Received notification from Rob at 3.14pm Christmas eve that he had the unit but would be closing at 4.I left it until the new year to pick up as he was closed until then and I wanted to check the cost. Different story to what he told me previously that he was working over Christmas including Christmas day! When I picked up the unit in early January he said he was closing up the business and so I asked for a copy of the purchase invoice for any warranty claims. Rob gave me a copy and I noticed that the unit was not ordered until 22 December which means that Rob has been misleading me the whole time about when he had ordered it! Also the unit had chrome buttons and I had requested black!During my dealings with the owner Rob Aqualina I sent him two emails. One to request a proper itemised receipt and the second showing a supplier I had located in Australia for the same unit to see if it was the one he was using (as I was suspicious of the cost). I did not receive a reply to either email!!The lesson I learnt was I could have sourced the unit myself cheaper than what I was charged by Volatile and without all the grief.I obviously went elsewhere to get the speakers and unit installed by someone I could trust. If this business stays open I suggest you steer clear of dishonest traders like this who talk the talk but deliver very little in the way of customer service and do not comply with Australian Consumer Law.In response to the Volatile reply I will not bother to try and pick apart the many many fabrications expressed therein. I will simply share the photo of the order invoice which clearly shows the order was not placed until 22 December 2015 and not as the owner has stated on 9 December 2015. I don't think anything more need be said as the facts speak clearly for themselves.Interestingly I notice that they have moved and will only meet people by appointment only

Rob is very upfront and honest about his service. He takes his time because he is a perfectionist and would rather get jobs done right than fast. He offered me a free tune up of my sound system two weeks after installing it and I’ve never been happier with my cars sound system. Please understand that he runs his business BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, others have unfairly left one star reviews because they we’re unable to grasp this concept. If you are looking for a custom sound system in your car, look no further than Malaga Car Audio and give Rob a call now!

Great service, great prices on a full system i had installed. Even threw in sound deadning into the door shuts in the price. Volatile cut me a great deal and was extremely helpful when i had a slight electric feedback coming through the amp. He fixed it at no cost which i didn't expect. Also had my headlining done by Volatile, did a great job and i can't fault his work, better than factory. If you want quality work by a genuine car lover who not only appreciates his work but your car too then go and see the guys at Volatile.

Just had my Colorado in for a sub amp door speakers and tweeters package can not be any more pleased as it sounds perfect, Rob can not be more helpful and honest, instead of just throwing a slimline in he was able to get a 10inch to fit without obstructing the seat, he even worked on a Sunday just to get the build completed for me
